Diane Pugmire
It has come as a big shock to everyone who knew Diane Pugmire and her family. Natalie, Diane's daughter, is one of my good friends and I have known Diane for many years. She was a wonderful woman who will truly be missed. I cannot imagine what the Pugmire family must be going through right now. They are in my thoughts and prayers.

BOO at the ZOO
Saturday I had the opportunity to work Boo at the Zoo for my work. I worked the event last year, which ended up being the zoo's biggest attendance, ever! This year was not even half as busy, which is not a good thing for the zoo's sake.
However, it was a fun day. I love seeing all of the little kids dressed up in their cute costumes. It is also interesting to see how weird and rude some people can be. It baffles me how some adults not only expect you to give them what you are passing out the "children" but don't even say thank you. There was one older lady who even took one of my french fries I was eating for lunch. No Joke!
I will post some pictures shortly from the event.
On Sunday, I put in some volunteer hours at the zoo. It was so fun. I hand-fed the kangaroo and wallaby. (under keeper supervision of course)

Long Time Coming
Wow, has it really been THAT long since my last post. I have had such a fun-filled exhausting summer at work. I am so glad for all of my opportunities, however, the summer flew by!
To catch up, I was a bridesmaid for one of my friends whose wedding was Sept. 12. It was such a beautiful wedding and she was a beutiful bride! I'm so glad I could share her day with her and Nate.
I have been volunteering at the Zoo, which has been so much fun, especially with the new baby elephant. What a cutie!
Marc and I went to San Diego for my 26th Birthday for 4 days. We had such an amazing time. We stayed in Mission Beach and spent a day at Sea World. We visited Little Italy, La Jolla, Old Town, Sea Port village......
I have a ton of pictures to share, however, I will have to wait a few days before I can post them. Here are a few until then!

Chop Chop
I totally chopped off my hair!!! I have never had it this short, but I love it! This isn't the best picture...however, this is the only one I have for now. I will post more of this summer so far in the next few days!!!

Busy Week
This shows exactly how I have felt all week. Waking up way too early in the morning noticing my cats could care less if I was leaving. They were determined to get their beauty rest whether I was there or not.

It's Official
After 37 hours of training, homework and a final test, I can say I am officially a zoo volunteer!
I am so excited and will let you know how it goes. I am sure that I will have a lot of fun and interesting stories to tell.

Picture Update
Since I have seemed to missplace my camera cord, I haven't been able to post many pictures. Thanks to my fabulous friend Amanda, I can show you a few pics from the past few months! Marc and I went geocaching recently so the first pictures are from Antelope Island. My hair is crazy because of all the bugs. I couldn't stop scratching my head! The first picture is of a baby owl peeking out of it's nest.

John & Kate
Do any of you watch John & Kate plus Eight? Well, I started watching the show about a year ago, and I LOVE it. It is so funny and entertaining. I enjoy watching John & Kate interact with the kids and with each other. They are pretty comical. Yes, Kate can be a bitch at times, but I think she just has a strong personality where John is pretty reserve.
I'm sure you have all heard about the controversey surrounding this couple. My question is, is this all because the poparatzi have found a way to spin the reality of this couple and their life? Or are they really cheating on each other?
I personally think they are a wonderful family who is trying to survive the craziness that surrounds thier lives. I'm not sure of the number of seasons this show has been around, but I feel as though the media has taken a fiesty relationship and turned it into a controversy.
Anywho, I really hate to see this family fall apart at the expense of the media and public influence. I hope for the kids sake that they can work through this as a family.
I guess we will find out when the next season starts on May 25. Will you be watching?
